In the modern world, there’s a lot of misinformation being thrown around by both sides of any issue. Every media source has a bias in one way or another and this inspired me to create the online platform Critical Minds. We strive to help people think critically about important issues by providing a way for people to post public opinions supported by facts from credible sources for both sides of the issue. Of course, though, we can’t do this alone. We’d rely on our community to post their opinions supported by credible facts. After an approval process, it would be uploaded onto the site where others can educate themselves without the hassle of doing tedious research. The platform would work like this. People can search for an issue on the site in the search bar here. Then it would either pop up or you can request for it to be added to the site. If it’s on the site, then you can view the different opinions with facts to support each perspective on the issue. The opinion has to be supported by facts from credible sources, which can be verified by the source link right here. Lastly, you educate yourself by seeing what others are saying about the issue without the fluff of unsupported opinions. I believe that this platform can help bridge the divide between the different sides of an issue to help find a mutual understanding in the process. This means that our customers can be anyone, but I anticipate that younger generations would be more interested, specifically teens and millennials. They would be interested because it would be making a stride towards solving the problem of misinformation being spread by educating people. The business will succeed because the people of our world today are genuinely interested in becoming more educated. It would also succeed because our revenue stream would be based on ad revenue from ads throughout the site. I believe through successful advertising campaigns and word of mouth, that the site will gain traction leading to a rewarding and thriving business. Critical Minds: think critically and educate yourself. Attached is the signed entry form. Thank you for the second opportunity! Anthony Galassi
