Each year, 86,000 children are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Eleven years ago, I was diagnosed. My company aims to educate people about type 1 diabetes. My name is Noémie Chabot I am 15 years old. Last May, I started my own company. I dare to believe that the people who will wear my clothes will be questioned about the brand A1C Fashion Co. and will take the opportunity to talk about type 1 diabetes and raise awareness. Why A1C? A1C is a glimpse of my blood sugar level over 3 or 4 months. In addition to A1C, it is significant for all diabetics since they all know that! During my visits to the diabetes clinic, I take my A1C to find out how I managed it. After each visit, I launch a collection numbered according to my blood sugar level. The lower it is, the better! The corporate name of my company is to raise funds for the JDRF foundation that seeks to find a cure for diabetes. I want to make a difference in people's lives. I hope that with initiatives like mine, we can find a cure for type 1 diabetes. More insulin pump, more injection, more blood glucose test. You can follow me on my Facebook and Instagram page: @ a1cfashion. If you want to see my clothing line or encourage me, visit a1cfashion.ca! Bye!
