Hello, my name is Mohamed Salem, and I am here today to pitch and introduce my business idea. A study conducted by the University of Nebraska Omaha revealed among the Youth surveyed, only 40% indicated; “being involved and helping their community become a better place” ONLY 40%... INSPIRE, a non-profit social enterprise, that aims to change just that. A new online platform that aims to civilly engage youth from the age of 13-25 in Ottawa by getting them involved and empowered in making a difference in their community. INSPIRE’S Vision, is to engage youth by allowing them to critically analyze issues facing the community through a political lens and mindset. And Keep them up-to-date with upcoming events happening within the city. First, will Create a website. This will become the platform where youth will be connected. Issues facing our community will be displayed and discussed. Youth will have the opportunity to share their ideas, thoughts and express their opinions. By doing so, they'ill develop plans and steps on how to tackle that issue. Youth will Have the ability to submit articles for our Blog, to share their vision. Finally, advertising local opportunities where Youth can get involved. Like… Community events, workshops, and Conventions happening within the Ottawa area. Then, youth can share the information, and sign up to Join the Fun! As a Non-profit Organization, INSPIRE will generate revenue through launching Our "Inspire Boutique" selling authentic empowering Merchandise, such t-shirts, water bottles, and cell phone cases. The revenues brought from the Merchandise will be used for marketing to increase traffic to the website. With Inspire, will empower the next generation of young civic minds and the leaders of tomorrow... Will You Join Me?
