Young Entrepreneurs, Make Your Pitch is a competition that challenges Ontario high school students to pitch their business ideas in a two-minute video. Videos are judged through a combination of online public voting (40%) and expert judges (60%).
For the spring 2014 contest, a total of 123 entries were received from across the province. From these submissions, 19 finalists were chosen to present their ideas in front of a judging panel at OCE’s Discovery conference and trade show at Metro Toronto Convention Centre on May 12 and 13.
The six winners were Kaleb Sauve (Grade 11, Sudbury), Rabiya Siddiqui (Grade 11, London), Andrew Williams (Grade 11, LaSalle), Brendan Marentette (Grade 11, Kanata), Nathan Peregrine (Grade 12, Sudbury) and Joshua Karbi (Grade 9, Toronto).
